I cut a lot of data out, but I think the structure of the XML is still clear. I am most interested in extracting the specification. So, the XML file contains a general description, and detailed specification. I picked Java for this, because it is the language I am most proficient in (HTML / CSS doesn't count/apply here. Lazy as I am, I started looking into a way to get the data myself. Since this doesn't happen very often, our company doesn't want to spend money to fix the problem, and I have to manually add the content in the CMS. 90% of the content on our websites come from the Icecat database (However, our CMS has sometimes problems correctly parsing the XML data for some products, HP products in particular. So any obvious mistakes are probably not that obvious to me. No education, just reading tutorials on the web and some small, short programming. So I will start with this: I am an absolute beginner when it comes to Java, XML and XPath.
